Welcome to the Building Departments. The Building Department provides permitting, plan review and inspection services to ensure that buildings are safe for occupancy.

Building Inspector: Marvin Entel. Phone (509) 254-1424 Marvin has been our inspector since 2003. Marv retired from being a full time insurance claims adjuster for 35 years. He has been an active part of the Uniontown Community Development Association. He was the general contractor for renovating the Sage Bakery, has had years of experience building & remodeling houses. With this Marv has brought to us a great level of experience, knowledge and dedication to Uniontown.

Office Hours: Our inspector is on an as needed or on appointment basis. To contact Marvin call him at 509-254-1424 and leave a message and he will call you back as soon as possible, or if you would like call the Clerk at 229-3805 to leave a message.

Permits are Required for such things as additions to a structure or construction of a new structure, remodeling of existing structure, replacing roofs & windows, building retaining walls over 4' in height, demolishing a building changing plumbing, heating or air conditioning and installing wood stoves. Fences over 6' in height are not allowed. If you are planning on an addition or new structure, please contact the Town Clerk in advance for setback information as outlined in the zoning code.

Applications are available online or at the Town Clerks office in Town Hall during normal business hours (Mon-Wed 9:00-5:00).

Please Note: Permitting process may take up to 30 days.

Inspections: We ask that at least 24 hour notice is given.
