Next Regular Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Flea Market: Is set for August 15th and 16th. If you want to added to the yard sale list & map or have any questions please call Joyce Meyer at 229-3500. 2008 Whitman County Car Crushing Extravaganza! We’ll take care of towing your vehicle to an appropriate lot, removing the tires and draining fluids. All you do is pre-register you vehicle with your city clerk. Can’t find the title? No Problem! August 2008 at the Dahmen Barn Classes, workshops and demonstrations August 7 & 12 Kids’ Art Classes 1-4:30 pm for ages 6-15. Two art topics per day. Discounts for signing up for all 6 classes and for registering with a friend or sibling. See website or call for each day’s topics and registration information. Please register one week in advance of class. August 9 Kids’ Class: Make a Beaded Bag 1-2:30 $22 includes all materials. Register by August 2nd. Taught by Judith Parry Folk of Hand Prints Children’s Art Studio. August 13, 20 & 27 Pastels Course taught by award winning resident artisan Judy Fairley. For students age 15+ at any level of experience. $75 for three sessions; students supply own materials. Register by August 11. August 23 Open Studio watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastels, pencil 1 to 4 pm FREEEach 4th Saturday of the month through 2008. Artists drop in. Music and performances August 9 Will Williams & Gravel Road outdoor bluegrass concert, $8 at the door. Dances August 23 Swing Dance by the Hog Heaven Big Band 7:30 pm $8 couple, $5 single Children 12 and under free. Both couples and singles are welcome to attend free beginning dance lessons from 6:00 to 7:30 on a drop-in basis. Exhibits August 3-31 This Wonderful World Paintings and pastels by Judith Mousseau. Opening with refreshments from 1-4 pm on Aug 3. Exhibit continues through Aug. 31 during regular open hours of the barn. Coming up in September: Opening of Vikki Wayne Exhibit - 7th, 1-4pm Bagpipe Concert – 12th, 7:00 pm 2nd annual Harvest Festival - 13th, 11 am to 5 pm
