Uniontown Parks & Recreation

The Town Has Two Parks

Holzer Park - This beautiful park right along the main street in Town (U.S. Highway 195), was renovated in 1998 and includes a basketball area, children's play equipment, picnic tables and public restrooms.

Memorial Park - This park was first built as a baseball field in 1948. In the mid-60s the Town baseball team diedMemorial Park sign out and park maintenance ended. In mid 1990s, many residents expressed an interest in reestablishing the park and a group took on the task of rebuilding the park. Thanks to the volunteers, the park now has a softball field, restrooms, running track/circular walkway, picnic area, and playground equipment.

Both parks are the responsibility of the Public Works Department, with some of the maintenance shared with community  volunteers. If you wish to hold a large gathering such as a family reunion at either of the parks, please contact the clerk's office.  While reservations are not required, having your event on the town calendar will prevent another group from planning a gathering at the same time.  There will be a damage deposit charged at the time of your reservation.  Please call the city clerk @ 229-3805to find out more information.
